How to activate your DSA Supplied FINDME TTS software

How to activate your DSA Supplied FINDME TTS software

How you activate FindMe TTS

1. Install the extension from the official Chrome Web Store

You should use the link found on/in your certificate.

Because the Chrome Web Store listing is not searchable, the certificate link is the only valid route.

2. Make sure you have your key/certificate.

A — Click Activate

The extension will show an activation screen.

B — Enter the activation key from the certificate

This is the key Twofires issued to you on your certificate.

C — Activation completes

Once the key is accepted, the extension unlocks all DSA features.

3. Enable the extension

After installation:

  • Go to chrome://extensions

  • Ensure FindMe TTS is toggled ON

  • Click Details → enable any permissions requested (e.g., “Allow access to file URLs”)

D. Grant permissions when prompted

The first time you use FindMe TTS, Chrome will ask for:

  • Read‑aloud permissions

  • Access to the current page

  • Clipboard permissions (optional)

You must click Allow.

That’s it — activation is complete

It’s not working

These are the most common causes:

1. Not signed into Chrome

The extension won’t activate if Chrome is in guest mode or not logged in.

2. University restrictions

Some institutions block Chrome extensions. Testing on a home network usually resolves this.

3. Permissions not granted

You must allow the extension to read the page.

4. Chrome is out of date

Updating Chrome fixes this issue.
