To create a new user account in Windows 11, navigate to Settings > Accounts > Family & other users. Click "Add account" and follow the prompts to either add a Microsoft account or create a local account.
Open Settings: Click the Start button, then select the Settings icon (gear icon).
Go to Accounts: In the left-hand navigation pane, click on "Accounts".
Navigate to Family & other users: On the Accounts page, click on "Family & other users".
Add a new user: Under the "Other users" section, click on "Add account".
Choose Account Type: You will be prompted to either:
Add a Microsoft account: Enter the person's Microsoft account email address and password.
Create a local account: Click "I don't have this person's sign-in information" and then "Add a user without a Microsoft account".
Follow the on-screen instructions to create a username and password for the new local account.
Mac.
To create a new user profile on a Mac, go to System Settings > Users & Groups, then click "Add User". Choose the user type (Administrator, Standard, or Sharing Only), enter full name and account name, create a password and hint, and then click "Create User". - Open System Settings: Click the Apple menu in the top left corner and select "System Settings," then click "Users & Groups" in the sidebar.
- Unlock Settings: You may need to enter your password to unlock the settings.
- Add a New User: Click the "Add User" button below the list of users.
- Choose Account Type: Select the type of account you want to create (Administrator, Standard, or Sharing Only) from the "New User" dropdown menu.
- Enter User Information: Fill in the Full Name, Account Name, and Password.
- Create the Account: Click the "Create User" button.
- Set Up the Account: The new user will be listed in the Users & Groups settings.
