Which of my DSA awarded software can I use on my iPad, Android Tablet or phone? Can I use Linux, ChromeOS or any other operating system instead?

The short answer is that unless it has been specifically put in place/chosen for that device by your assessor, NO.

The Long answer, is also NO, with some caveats.

Unless specifically designed for Android or IOS, Study Tech and our support teams cannot and will not recommend anything other than a PC running Windows or MAC OS for most DSA awarded software.

In most instances, considering the specialist nature of the software, most tablets/phones etc will simply be unable t run the software, or have a mobile variant or equivalent that is better suited to that device. though usually not to your individual needs, being lacking compared to its fully fleshed out PC/Laptop counterpart software.

Some software may work on other devices, or be side loadable or installable via Browser profiles, or work via a web browser in some instances.

If your browser profile on a laptop has an extension for X software installed, that may "transfer" to a tablet or phone/other OS or device. We do not guarantee this and cannot help in doing so.

A software key may only work for non mobile versions, or mobile versions only of a software. Currently, Microsoft do not offer any Android or IOS versions of office with the license they provide for students.

This will be the case for most software. If specifically assessed to use software on a PC or Laptop DSA/SLC will expect you to do so.

Technical Support and other teams will not support any request to help getting a software running on a preferred device, only the device the software and yourself were assessed for, that said these articles may help, and should list any tablet compatible apps we are aware of at the least, though the list will only be of "officially" supported mobile apps.

We also cannot comment on if older iPads/IOS versions will work with app X etc.
