How to activate your DSA awarded Inspiration Dragon Edition

What it does.

Inspiration Dragon Edition, combines:

  • Inspiration 10/11 (full licence)

  • The Dragon Command Pack (a set of 200+ voice commands for Dragon Professional)

Your Inspiration licence key will have been emailed to you or be visible on your Study Tech homepage.

This guide shows you how to activate Inspiration and import the Dragon commands.

What you’ll need.

  • Your Inspiration licence key

  • Your inspiration download link email

  • A Windows PC

  • Dragon Professional v15 or v16 (if using the command pack), use the Dragon Key Checker to install Dragon, if you have not already.

1. Install Inspiration

  1. Download Inspiration using the link provided in your email/on your Study Tech homepage.

  2. Run the installer and follow the on‑screen steps.

  3. When prompted, enter your Inspiration licence key.

  4. Inspiration will activate immediately once the key is accepted.

Note: If you have a password also you may not need it, but should input it if asked.

2. Install the Dragon Command Pack

The Dragon Command Pack is included as part of the Dragon Edition.

  1. Download the command pack file from your email or supplier portal.

  2. Open Dragon Professional.

  3. Go to: Tools → Manage Custom Commands → Import

  4. Select the command pack file.

  5. Restart the PC.

You will now have access to 200+ Inspiration‑specific voice commands.

3. Using Inspiration with Dragon

Once both components are installed:

  • Open Inspiration

  • Open Dragon

  • Use your new voice commands to control Inspiration hands‑free

Examples include:

  • “Insert symbol”

  • “Create mind map”

  • “Add new idea”

  • “Switch to outline view”

Troubleshooting

Inspiration says the key is invalid

  • Check for mistyped characters (0/O, 1/I, etc.)

  • Ensure you are entering the key into Inspiration, not Dragon

  • Restart the installer and try again

Dragon does not show the new commands

  • Ensure you imported the command pack into the correct Dragon profile

  • Restart Dragon

  • Check that Dragon is running in Professional edition (Home edition does not support custom commands)

  • Restart the PC.
