How to identify your version of Office.

🪟 On Windows

✅ Method 1: From Any Office App

  1. Open any Office app (e.g., Word, Excel, Outlook).
  2. Click File > Account (or Office Account).
  3. Look under Product Information:
    • You'll see the Office version (e.g., Microsoft 365, Office 2021).
    • The build number and update channel are also listed.

🧠 Tip:

  • If you see “Microsoft 365,” it’s a subscription version.
  • If it says “Office 2016,” “Office 2019,” or “Office 2021,” it’s a one-time purchase.

✅ Method 1: From Any Office App

  1. Open any Office app (e.g., Word, Excel).
  2. Click Word (or Excel, etc.) in the top menu bar.
  3. Select About Word (or About Excel).
  4. A window will pop up showing:
    • The version number.
    • The license type (Microsoft 365 or standalone).
