Who pays the £200 DSA contribution fee?
If you or someone you know if eligible for DSA and require a laptop, there is a £200 DSA contribution fee that would need to be paid. You only pay this contribution fee in certain scenarios. These being:
Those who require a laptop:
- New DSA students who require a laptop WILL need to pay the £200 contribution fee.
- Old students who have a personal laptop but need a replacement WILL need to pay the £200 contribution fee.
- Legacy customers from previous suppliers who have personal laptops but require a replacement WILL need to pay the £200 contribution fee.
Those who do not require a laptop:
- DSA students who only require software with no laptop WONT need to pay the £200 contribution fee.
***SIDE NOTE Get in contact with your universities disability advisor. This will help you seek more information and advice about DSA and they may be able to recommend charities or grants that can help pay for the DSA contribution fee (Sometimes they'll be willing the cover the full amount.)
