I cannot login/signin/sign in/log in to the Study Tech website, app, register another app, DSA provided software, another software providers website, or am unable to action a password reset, 2FA,MFA or similar.

A high percentage of sign in or login issues, regardless of website, app or anything you attempt to sign in or up to will be alleviated or fixed by using another device and/or browser.

A good general rule, on first signing up to something, or registering a software/filling in an assessment or booking a session is to use a PC or Laptop,

We also recommend using any browser that is NOT the default browser for the Operating System, so NOT SAFARI OR EDGE.

In addition, if an issue occurs on a managed WIFI/network connection, such as a work or University one we recommend using a standard, home WIFI or even better, wired connection.

Some Tethered phone connections, non UK connections and VPN can cause issues as well, for certain websites or apps.

How should I access the Study Tech "app"?

Use a PC or Laptop, if you have an issue on a phone, tablet or other device we will not troubleshoot/cannot help until this has been tried.

We usually recommend using any browser that is NOT the default browser for the Operating System, so NOT SAFARI OR EDGE.

In some instances, trying on a different browser, but the same device just after a failed EMAIL or PHONE code has been tried will work.
It can also help to refresh the code window/get a second code or try clicking back then forward.

Sign in/Log in/Account creation issues can often be "cured" by this.

I am unable to complete MFA/2FA?

If you see an error generating a Google authenticator QR code:

It is likely an extension/add-on/plugin causing an issue, in general, switching to another browser, even the OS default one is recommended. Email authentication is also an option.

The submit button is not working for me with 2FA/MFA email authentication?

In most instances, again trying in another browser is recommended. We have found doing so, getting authenticated seems to clear any issue on the original browser.

The six digit code is not reaching my email?

Again, try a different browser first, but it can be a junk email/or whitelisting/safe senders list issue with the provider.

it is worth taking a look for how to set the domain, Study.Tech as trusted on that safe senders list/whitelisted domains for your provider if a different browser does not work. Again, if using a phone/tablet, follow our primary advice. PC/Laptop, not Edge, Not Safari.

Invalid password or connection Error.



We suggest using a Laptop, Windows or Mac and NOT Safari or Edge in the first instance for account setup/Assessment or Training appointment booking.
Chrome, Opera, Firefox etc should all work fine, though trying more than one browser/trying another browser is your secind step if you are using one of these browsers already.

After this, in general login/sign in and most pages will work fine on a phone/safari etc.

If outside the UK/on a VPN or using a Work/Uni connection you can also sometimes run afoul of login/sign in issues.

We always recommend trying another connection. We have had multiple instances of log in issues resolving once off Uni provided wifi.

What are some common issues?

The Study Tech logo stuck issue it is almost always device related.

Non private/non UK/VPN connection or similar will not connect to the Study Tech website.

Unfortunately, we cannot "fix" this, you must be in the UK on a "normal" connection in order to access the Student and Tutor app.

In addition, some managed domains or networks, specifically those for some Universities will block our website, again, this is not something we can fix.
